What time should I arrive for class?
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before every class. Feeling stressed out because you’re running late for a yoga class is not a great way to begin!
It’s my first time doing yoga. How do I prepare for my first class?
Arrive at least 15 minutes before class, ensure you are hydrated and do not eat any heavy meals for at least an hour before class. Come with an open mind and don’t take it too seriously. Yoga is fun!

I’m really inflexible; can I still do yoga?
Definitely! Inflexibility and stiffness is one of the most common reasons people take up yoga. Just remember to go at your own pace. Yoga is non-competitive.
Are all the classes suitable for beginners?
Yes. I offer variations to suit your level. If you ever need a hand in class, just call me over. I will adjust you if I feel you’re doing a pose in an unsafe way. Otherwise, enjoy the class and listen to your body. If you need to rest, then rest! I can suggest some delicious recovery poses.

What types of yoga does The Marvellous Yogi offer?
See our ‘Yoga Styles’ Page
Can I bring my son/daughter to a class?
We invite children aged 12 or over to attend adult Yoga classes with a parent or guardian. Concession rates apply.
Are the classes suitable for pregnant women or women who have recently had a baby?
Unfortunately our classes are not suitable for pregnant women. If you have recently given birth, you will need to have had your postnatal check and received the all clear from your doctor to commence yoga.
What is mindfulness?
Glad you ask! Have you ever driven from A to B and reached B thinking you can’t even remember what happened whilst driving from A to B? That’s our wavering mind, transporting us to the past or the future. Mindfulness is about teaching the mind to stay in the present moment… To stay in the now. By doing this we reduce stress, anxiety, depression and all negative thought patterns which always reside in the illusionary past or future.
